Monterey, California

One of the best things about driving cross country and doing it by yourself is you get to stop and see whatever you want. I stopped in Monterey after San Ramon--I'd planned on seeing the aquarium again but caught up walking around and looking at the seals playing with the fishermen and walking on the beach. Such a pretty town, go if you're ever in the area. I got to have two meals alone, two beers, many hours of walking around, and one movie, all to myself.
